Meeting notes:

We were graced by the presence of new HP for Colorado member Heidi who managed a "Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars" t - shirt. Also the usual group of Ford (myself), Arthur (Cary) and Zaphod (Dave) showed up with young Michael for our A.N.I.M.E. Club meeting. Michael walked away with the Excell Saga CD, a copy of the Glass Fleet vol. 1 DVD and a DVD sampler from FUNimation. Peter won a copy of Ragnarok vol. 1 and agreed in principle to help out with the Anime Trivia Contest at COSine.
Panera Bread was a wonderful host for our ½ dozen sci - fi/anime/Harry Potter/Dr. Who fans. I revealed the DVD's I am going to use as give aways as well as 2 Full Metal Alchemist t - shirts! The list is as follows (for the DVD's)
1) Baki the Grappler: Seasons 1&2 box set
2) Rumbling Hearts(Kimi ga Nozomu Eien) vol. 2
3) Tenchi Muyo! Ryo - Ohki vol. 2
4) Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles/xxxHolic double film feature - 2 copies
5) Blue Gender volumes 2 & 4
6) Samurai Seven volume 7 Guardians of the Rice
7) Trinity Blood Collectors Edition vol. 6
8) Tenchi Muyo! GXP volume 4 New Illusions
9) Sakura Taisen: Ecole De Paris
This is a roughly $339.00 American retail value! The t - shirts are roughly $32 total and we have the two FMA t - shirts plus a Shingu t-shirt left over

Note for the future:
Folks, let's keep to the topic in which we got together about shall we? I realize there are gamers in this group but if you want to discuss the latest online RPG then please do it outside of the formal meeting.
If you want more or better variety of activities send a suggestion to our email address.
Note for all other readers:
Please submit any URL's pertaining to your group (anime, Dr. Who, Harry Potter, etc.) to this address so we can add it to our URL list at the end of the newsletter as we like to keep all our friends and associates aware of such wonderful organizations ~
Thanks in advance/Arigato Gozaimasu

Misc.:

We are still looking for a good manga artist to enhance our publication so if you know any let them know we are in the market.

Take Care and 'May the best anime be yours!'

* Also we are now looking for advertisers. If you know of anyone who wishes to advertise with us rates can be obtained by contacting me at the listed e - mail or by leaving an inquiry on the 'Meowaruu' website. Editors notes:

Things are definitely looking up. I know this as we have now had two meetings in a row with more than 5 people showing up! I'm really glad we made a positive impression with a new attendee ~ Heidi. I thought I recognized her from the photo at the site for HP but I wasn't sure till she looked around confused.
Note: Apologies to Heidi for not giving a better description of myself! ~ gomen nasai!
As always at this time of the year our thoughts turn towards COSine ~ well at least this year as last * blush *. I look forward to working with Cary and the gang of usual suspects as well as hanging out with Peter and company to complete a really good weekend. We now have a good crowd prepared to head for the convention and really make it special this year.
I have no idea if I am to repeat as club president but would love to have the support above and beyond the companies that help us out with lots of SWAG and DVD goodies J.
The elections won't be until November as is our presidential, er, your presidential race for the White House. As always I see nothing but potential for this group and understand that the club concept has never died out ~ only changed its face a tad.
Ah! So little time so many things to organize and keep going…

That's my 2 pence and I'm sticking to it!

The newest and hopefully last incarnation of the A.N.I.M.E. Website. It is still a work in progress and we are still seeking a new mascot and some input for other projects. There is a lot going on and things are getting better with each new newsletter. Let's keep the good work up and make the Meowaruu site something to be proud of.
